Travel to Tajikistan

If you want to take a trip to Central Asia, but you don't have a great love for deserts, Tajikistan will suit you! It is the coolest country in the region, and together with neighboring Kyrgyzstan, it declares that the peak of the tourist season is summer, not spring. Nevertheless, every season in Tajikistan has a unique charm.

Winter in Tajikistan is the best time for skiing and extreme mountaineering. Snow and ice turn Tajikistan into a frosty wonderland that sparkles with its peaks. But at the same time, mountains become potentially dangerous, and mountain roads are sometimes covered with snow, which makes it almost impossible to travel through the Pamirs.

Autumn in Tajikistan is different, depending on where you are. In mountainous areas - rains and cold winds, and in the valleys of Dushanbe and Khujand –a comfortable climate with landscapes in golden shades of foliage. September is the last month when you can comfortably drive along the Pamir highway, but even at this time at night the temperature can drop below 00 C.

Spring comes closer to April, and already in May creates magnificent landscapes of mountains and valleys. Spring in Tajikistan is filled with holidays and is perfect for combining city and mountain tours. The melting snows of the Pamirs fill the rivers, the mountain slopes are buried in greenery.

Summer in Tajikistan is sunny, but not so hot. This is the perfect time of year to travel around Tajikistan. You can drive freely in almost all mountainous areas. It is quite warm during the day for swimming in mountain lakes. You can comfortably spend the night in tents at an altitude of up to 3000 meters. In summer, the markets are already filled with fragrant and extremely delicious fruits and vegetables.
